PRIDE Reading Program is a structured literacy, multisensory, Orton-Gillingham homeschool curriculum
The PRIDE Reading Program is an easy to use, structured literacy, Orton-Gillingham curriculum for children of all ages. This program is designed for children with dyslexia, and also works wonderfully for emergent readers and struggling readers.
PRIDE Reading Program was started 15 years ago by Karina Richland, a mom and 2nd grade teacher whose son was diagnosed with dyselxia when he was in first grade. When he still couldn't read afte a year of intervention, she set out to find an approach that works (Orton-Gillingham) and then create the curriculum she wished had existed for her son--effective, easy to teach, and affordable
There is no extensive training needed to be able to teach PRIDE. The easy to follow, 100% scripted step-by-step Teaching Guide will walk you through each skill and how to teach it. You do not have to develop any lesson plans or do any preparation.
Our physical curriculum includes a student workbook, sound cards, letter tiles, and an activity kit. We also offer a fully digital curriculum with the exact same supplies and activities all online. Each lesson includes everything you need to know to teach with confidence and everything your student needs to become a strong reader.
