The Mr. McSymphony's programs are a scaffold music appreciation programs for first to the sixth grade students. It starts with the students learning about the instruments and sounds in a symphony orchestra. The program progresses to learning about musicians, classical composers, Jazz, Opera and, finally, music of ancient civilizations.
These programs are each about 35-40 minutes long in a personal presentation format with teachers guides, CD's and Power Poiht or viewing a video of each program. Reading books are available for grades 1-5. Student assignments are suggested after each program video. The videos are on TPT web site with the log in subject - "mrmcsymphony". All other material including the reading books can be viewed on my web site "mrmcsymphony.com".
All prograams have been used in elementaary schools for the past 15 years.
