American School offers accredited courses in grades 6-12 at an affordable cost.

American School offers accredited middle school and high school courses at an affordable cost.  Students may complete full years of courses and ultimately earn an accredited high school diploma.  They also may take individual print or online courses to enhance an existing homeschool program.

 

HISTORY

MIDDLE SCHOOL

For students in grades 6-8, American School offers an accredited middle school program consisting of 5 units of credit per year at a cost of $950 per year for a three-year total of 15 units of credit at a total cost of $2850.  Monthly payment plans are available.  Each year includes one unit of credit in English, math, science and social studies plus one elective.  Individual middle school courses cost $300 for a full unit of credit and $250 for a half unit of credit.  Courses are available in print or online formats.

 

HIGH SCHOOL

For students in grades 9-12, American School offers two distinct diploma programs.

 

If you plan to join the workforce or attend a community college after graduation, consider the General High School Program.  If you plan to attend a four-year college or university after graduation, consider the College Preparatory Program.

 

Both high school diploma programs consist of 5 units of credit per year at a cost of $950 per year for a four-year total of 20 units of credit at a total cost of $3800.  Monthly payment plans are available.  Most individual high school courses cost $300 for a full unit of credit and $250 for a half unit of credit, with varying prices for AP courses.

 

ELECTIVES

TUITION

Whether you choose to enroll in a full year of courses, a full diploma program or simply one course, American School’s tuition includes all study materials, grading by qualified instructors, access to the Online Student Center and much more.

 

ASSISTANCE

Students work at their own pace, but they are never alone.  American School staff is available to assist students during normal business hours, and all phone calls and emails receive a reply within one business day.  Students also receive detailed feedback on every graded exam.

 

ACCREDITATION AND RECOGNITION

American School is accredited by the Middle States Association/Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), Accreditation International (Ai) and the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).  American School is also recognized by the State of Illinois as a non-public school.
